Created under starry skies, by lonely mountain lakes and on road trips with the VW Bulli, the products tell their own unique stories.
Roadtyping is us, Franzi and Marius, along with our sons Leo (6) and Casper (4), and our Labrador retriever Lotta (9). We're a family who spend every free minute traveling in our Sprinter campervan, which means every Roadtyping product is a very special part of our journeys. It's where our ideas for maps and new products are born, right in the heart of things and in the most beautiful places in the world.
Roadtyping was founded by Marius and Franzi in 2016; it was a way for us to realize our dreams and create a passion project. But we hadn't anticipated this journey: a journey filled with many acquaintances and new friendships, countless trade fair visits, long nights and long drives, and today our Roadtyping products are available in approximately 400 local shops worldwide.
Our base camp and home is the Allgäu region, which is a perfect starting point for adventures in all directions. Above all, we love the mountains, whether hiking and biking across alpine meadows or driving along secluded mountain passes.

Poet and thinker, wife and husband,
Mom and Dad, dreamer and optimist.
2022 was a very special year for us, because in May we shipped our Sprinter van to the east coast of Canada and drove across the country with our children and dog. We went all the way north to Alaska and drove down the Pacific coast to Los Angeles before crossing back across the USA to the Atlantic coast and flying home from Florida after 9 months and 35,000 km.
